Route

A quiet and underrated mountain walk in the Arenigs, offering wide open views and a real sense of space. The route is fairly straightforward with a steady climb and no technical sections, making it a great option if you’re after a peaceful day in the hills away from the Snowdon crowds.

The route follows a clear track all the way to the summit, so no navigation is required, making this a very accessible mountain even in less-than-perfect conditions. It can feel quite exposed near the top, especially in winter or windy weather, so layers are a must.

On a clear day, the views stretch across the Arenigs, Berwyns, and beyond, making the climb well worth the effort.

Parking is limited lay-by parking at the start. Dogs should have no issues with the route, although there may be grazing livestock, so leads may be needed at times.
