This annual event invites dogs of all shapes and sizes to take over the pool as the summer season draws to a close.
It’s the perfect chance to hop in with your four-legged friend for a swim in one of the UK’s most iconic outdoor pools — and trust us, you’ll both love every second.
All dogs must be accompanied by a person aged 16 or over. Humans are welcome to join their dogs in the water (if they fancy it!), or simply watch from the sidelines if paddling’s not your thing.
The lido is heated and usually sits around 21°C at this time of year. If you’re planning on getting in and tend to feel the cold, a wetsuit is definitely recommended!
You’ll also find changing rooms on site, refreshments available, and a selection of stallholders attending the event.
Tickets are limited and this is a pre-book only event, so if your pup loves a swim, be sure to grab yours early!

There’s a spacious car park just outside the Lido with room for over 160 vehicles.
Parking starts from £2.20, and you can pay by card, coin, or phone for added convenience.
Facilities
On-site facilities include toilets, showers, changing rooms, and a café to grab a post-swim treat.
Dogs are not allowed in the indoor changing rooms, toilets or café.
For those with accessibility needs, ramped access is also available.

'In line with current legislation and in the interest of public safety, we regret that dogs listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act (1991) - including those classified as banned breeds - are not permitted to attend this event. This is due to the nature of the swim, where dogs will be off lead in the water and interactions with other dogs in and around the water.
Our primary responsibility is to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants, both human and canine, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in upholding these safety standards.'
Other Information
A lifeguard will be on duty throughout the event to ensure human safety.
The lido uses a chlorine-based product in the pool, so it’s recommended that dogs are rinsed off after their swim. Hoses will be available outside both changing areas, and the outdoor showers can also be used.
