Scottish Walk Suggestions

Scotland serves up some of the most breathtaking walks in the UK — from peaceful lochside trails to epic days out tackling Munros. Whether you're wandering through ancient pine forests, climbing craggy peaks, or soaking up sea views on the coast, there’s no shortage of adventure (or scenery). Expect big landscapes, big climbs, and plenty of space for your dog to stretch their legs.

Munro

Munros are mountains in Scotland that stand at 3,000 feet (914.4 metres) or more in height.

They’re named after Sir Hugh Munro, who first compiled a list of these peaks in 1891, known as Munro’s Tables. There are currently 282 recognised Munros, ranging from accessible hills to rugged, remote summits requiring serious mountain skills.

'Bagging Munros' - the challenge of climbing them all, has become a popular goal for hillwalkers and mountaineers, offering a brilliant way to explore the wild and breathtaking landscapes of Scotland.
