Hi, we are Sarah and Flo. I am a primary school teacher in South Wales with a love for the outdoors. Before becoming a teacher I worked within the outdoor industry after going to university to study Outdoor Education. While working within this sector, I worked in Malaysia, France, Scotland and Wales leading various activities in the mountains, on the water or on some rocks. These days I enjoy the outdoors with my wonderful four legged soul dog Flo. 

 

Flo is a 3 year old Weimaraner who I’ve had since she was 9 weeks old. She loves going on an adventure and exploring new places. When she isn’t exploring or sniffing she is happy chilling around the house except for when she wants a treat and you will definitely know when that is. She loves a treat and will always sniff them out if you’ve got any in your pocket. 

 

We try to get out as much as possible either exploring the beautiful Welsh coast or walking up mountains ticking off trigs. Our local areas to explore are Gower and the Brecon Beacons but we also love visiting Pembrokeshire and Eryri. When we aren’t walking the coast or mountains we also enjoy paddle boarding.

 

When I get some dog free time I like to find local dipping spots or relaxing in the outdoor saunas that are starting to pop up around our local area. I feel like cold water dipping is good for my well-being and I try to do it regularly either on my own or part of a small dipping community I have created called Numb Bums. We try to meet up at least once a month either at a local river or beach or combining it with a sauna session to get our hot/cold fix.  

 

We are super excited to be part of the Great Outpaws community and can’t wait to share our favourite walks, dipping spots, saunas and local finds. We hope we are able to inspire you to get out and explore either with your dog or on your own.
