Hi, I’m Stacey, a late-twenties adventurer with a love for muddy boots, windswept views and getting lost (in the best way) with my soon-to-be husband, Oliver. Most weekends or any spare time we have, you’ll find us out on the trails, exploring every hill, dale and hidden corner of the Peak District and Yorkshire Dales, with our two four-legged explorers, Rupert and Ruby, leading the way.

Our love for hiking and the great outdoors started young, shaped by family holidays both abroad and in the heart of the English countryside. We've been chasing trails and adventure ever since.

Meet Rupert — our first dog as a couple, our first German Shorthaired Pointer, and honestly, the one who changed everything. He bounded into our lives in 2020, right at the start of the pandemic. While the world hit pause, our journey as new puppy parents began. With 15 weeks of lockdown ahead of us, we poured every ounce of time, energy and love into training, walking and building the kind of bond only daily muddy walks and countless treats can create. Rupert didn’t just survive lockdown with us, he shaped the outdoor life we live today.

By 2021, we’d made it through lockdown and were finally settling into our first home together. With a bit more space and even more love to give, we took the leap and welcomed our second dream dog — a beautiful Weimaraner puppy named Ruby. From day one, we knew this was the life we wanted. It hasn’t always been easy, but every step (and paw print) has led us to the life we’re so lucky to live today.

Rupert and Ruby have completely transformed the way we spend our time. They’ve turned us into full-time wanderers, part-time pathfinders and total lovers of the great British outdoors. Since bringing them into our lives, we’ve hiked more than ever before, exploring the beauty right on our doorstep — from the wild trails of the Peak District to the stunning landscapes of the Yorkshire Dales. (Fun fact: we actually got engaged right next to Aysgarth Falls in 2023.)

Through hiking with the dogs and sharing our adventures on Instagram, I also discovered a new passion: photography. There’s nothing I love more than discovering somewhere new in the British countryside, camera in hand, capturing the magic of the landscape — and of course, my two four-legged explorers.

I’m so excited to be part of this amazing community and to share our adventures with you, from breathtaking views and photo-worthy spots to tried and tested, dog-friendly walks and activities. Every trail we hike, every corner we explore and every recommendation we share has been experienced first-hand by us.
