Jade, Moose & Alfie
Explorer since July 2025

Hi there! I’m Jade, a 25-year-old veterinary nurse with a love for the great outdoors, and I’m lucky enough to share my adventures with two incredible companions: Alfie and Moose.
Alfie joined my life in 2016 after surviving as a street dog in Spain. Alfie came into my life when I was 16 years old and really kicking started my love for being outdoors exploring with my canine companions. In 2023 came along Moose, my courageous three-legged bully who had nothing short of an awful start to life. Abused and tied to a bus stop with a shattered elbow at 6 months old, Moose lost his leg, but never his zest for life. These days, he charges through life (and every muddy puddle in sight) like a pro, proving that nothing can hold him back.
Together, we spend our free time training, hiking, and discovering new dog-friendly walks, with a special focus on accessible routes for dogs and humans alike. Having a disabled dog and living with a chronic illness myself we work around our physical limitations to ensure we can safely explore without compromising canine or human health.
We’re based in Staffordshire and can often found wandering through Cannock Chase. When we’re not on the chase, you’ll usually find us venturing across the Midlands and the Peak District in search of hidden gems.
We’re so excited to be part of the Great Outpaws community and can’t wait to share some of our favourite walking spots, local finds, and accessible walks for less able dogs. Whether you’re planning a trip or just looking for some fresh inspiration, we hope you’ll join us on this journey and maybe even hit the trails yourself sometime soon!
