Hi! I'm Becki, an e-commerce director by day, but one of my latest passions include exploring the great outdoors with my fun adventure dog, Merlin. For most of my life, I was less of an intrepid explorer and more of a dedicated horse girl, happiest in the saddle or at the stable. The idea of scaling mountains or navigating the water just wasn't on my radar. That is, until I bought my own place, and fate (or rather, a certain furry, four-legged friend) stepped in.

Merlin, a three-year-old Labrador, came into my life as a complete twist of fate during my dog search. I was looking for a local stroll kinda rescue dog, but I ended up with a true ride-or-die adventure buddy. This boy will do anything for a treat, and I mean anything! Whether it’s scrambling up a hill, gracefully balancing on a paddleboard, or simply settling in for a quiet evening at a wine bar, Merlin is game. He’s transformed me from a homebody into a full-blown adventure dog mum, and it's become my entire personality!

Before Merlin, I was a complete beginner – no hiking experience, never paddleboarded, and certainly no Duke of Edinburgh award to my name. Now, I'm regularly attempting hikes across the UK and exploring cool water spots on my paddleboard, always on the lookout for fun, solo girl and big-dog-friendly staycations and activities that mean I can bring the big goof with me. I'm not a hardcore, every-weekend mountain climber, but I am an enthusiastic explorer, proving that you don't need years of experience to embrace the adventure lifestyle.

I'm thrilled to be part of this community and can't wait to share our adventures, from our favourite dog-friendly spots to the lessons I've learned along the way as a beginner adventurer.
